Participants from various sectors are being urged to register for the upcoming UDSM Marathon, scheduled for December 7, 2024, in Dar es Salaam.

The marathon aims to bring together individuals, organizations, institutions, and companies for a noble cause.

Daniel Stephen, the marathon's Assistant Coordinator, announced that registration is officially open. Speaking to Responded Online, he emphasized that the event is a call to action for everyone to support the ongoing development of the University of Dar es Salaam.

“We welcome individuals, organizations, institutions, and companies to register and take part,” he said, adding that the funds raised will go towards the fifth phase of constructing a new student center at the university.

The marathon will feature three race categories: 5 km, 10 km, and 21.1 km, open to all genders.

Stephen underscored the significance of the event, noting that it is not just a race but a platform for community engagement and contribution to educational development.

He assured that preparations are well underway, with the organizing team working diligently to ensure the marathon runs smoothly.

Efforts are being made to engage key stakeholders and secure partnerships to enhance the event’s success.

Stephen encouraged participants to register early, highlighting that their involvement will help create a lasting impact for current and future students of the university.

The UDSM Marathon promises to be both a fun and meaningful event, fostering unity while supporting a worthy cause.
