AFCON Local Organising Committee meets in Dar

The 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Local Organising Committee has met today (August 22nd) in Dar es Salaam to discuss a range of issues.

One of them was to endorse the proposed formation of the subcommittee and its secretariat.

The formed committees will be responsible for the supervision of infrastructures, communication, finance, anti-doping, events management, security, (legal, advertisment, marketing and trade), information technology as well as service delivery.

The AFCON 2027 local organising committee is chaired by Leodger Tenga, and deputised by Ayoub Mohammed Mahmoud.

It comprises people of vast experience in different fields, including Neema Msitha, who currently serves as the secretary general of the National Sports Council (NSC), and the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) president Wallace Karia.
