Tanzania is making a strong impression at the ongoing Osaka Expo 2025, with its tourism sector becoming one of the major highlights at the event.

The Tanzania Pavilion has continued to attract a large number of international visitors who are eager to explore the country's world-famous tourist attractions and unique cultural offerings.

Visitors are particularly drawn to presentations about Mount Kilimanjaro  Africa’s highest peak  as well as the country's rich network of wildlife parks, including Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

The stunning beaches of Zanzibar have also caught the attention of many, as have Tanzania’s premium exports such as tea, coffee, and cloves.

Speaking about the success of the pavilion, Mr. Deo Shayo, Manager of the Tanzania Pavilion from the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), shared that this week has been focused on tourism promotion.

"TanTrade has implemented a dedicated tourism program as part of the broader Expo activities. We have coordinated participation from key tourism stakeholders such as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority, TANAPA, TAWA, and the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB). Together, we are showcasing the best of what Tanzania has to offer," he said.

Mr. Shayo noted that visitor engagement has been very positive, with many expressing interest in visiting Tanzania.

The Expo has offered a valuable platform for the country to connect with international travelers, tour operators, and potential investors in the travel and hospitality sectors.

The Tanzania Pavilion has also featured cultural performances, promotional videos, and interactive exhibits that allow visitors to experience a taste of Tanzanian life.

These efforts aim not only to promote tourism but also to boost the country’s image and strengthen its economic ties with global markets.

Osaka Expo 2025, which brings together countries from around the world to showcase innovation, culture, and development, presents a unique opportunity for Tanzania to highlight its strengths in both natural beauty and hospitality.

With such a strong showing in the early days of the event, Tanzania is expected to continue attracting attention and building momentum as the Expo progresses.
