Mashujaa have ascended at the top of the Premier League table despite being held to a barren draw by Tanzania Prisons at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma on Friday.
They have bagged 4 points from two matches to take command of the 16-team log, an outcome that has been well received by many Kigoma residents who backs their side.
In their first fixture of the season, Mashujaa registered a thin 1-0 win over Dodoma Jiji at the same venue courtesy of a solitary goal netted by Crisipin Ngush.
However, in today's game, they found it hard to get the password of unlocking the visitor's solid defence until the final whistle sounded for the duo to share spoils.
For Tanzania Prisons, it was their second back to back away match of the season after forcing a goalless draw versus Pamba Jiji in their inaugural encounter of the action packed campaign.
The two sides will be back in action on September 21st when Mashujaa will face Coastal Union at KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam where the Tanga based team picked to host their home matches.
On the other hand, Tanzania Prisons will welcome Simba at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya on September 22nd in what will be the first away game of the season for the Reds.
