Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa is set to launch the 2024 edition of Wasafi Festival slated to kick-off from September 14th at Madini ground in Ruangwa, Lindi.
This was confirmed in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday by Wasafi Media Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Diamond Platnumz who said it is a big honour to have Majaliwa gracing the event.
"We have been privileged with the fact that Majaliwa will be the guest of honour to signal the start of this year's edition of Wasafi Festival and preparations are unfolding well to make this another remarkable music festival.
"During last year's edition, artistes came up with numerous creativities that helped to provide reputation to the music industry and the country at large a thing that we should all be proud of. This year, God has blessed us again to conduct another big music festival and inshallah, the long journey of the massive performances will start on September 14th," Diamond said.
He also seized the platform to declare that his top dream is to become the number one richest person in the world saying he is certain that his dream will come true.
"Let me be clear...I have never said this before but my top dream is to represent Tanzania as the riches person in the world and I have trust that I will make this a reality one day. I remember during the past edition of Wasafi Festival at a certain school, I prophesized that I will purchase a Rolls Royce and now, I have it at my home...this is a clear testimony that anything in this world can happen," he said.
Again, the Komasava singer revealed that in this year's Wasafi Festival, he is going to launch a new product hence requested support from his fans to embrace it with both hands.
