In a significant step toward enhancing cooperation between Tanzania and Oman, the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), in collaboration with the Embassy of Oman, Tantrade, TPSF, TCCIA, ZNCC, and CTI, hosted a Business and Investment Forum.

The event, held on September 26-27, 2023, at the Sheraton Hotel in Muscat, was led by Hon. Dr. Saada Mkuya Salum, Minister of State in the President's Office for Finance and Planning of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.

The forum aimed to provide an opportunity for business leaders and investors to discuss investment opportunities in key sectors such as tourism, mining, and technology. Participants from various industries attended, engaging in discussions on economic opportunities and addressing the challenges facing business and investment environments.

In recognition of its efforts to promote Tanzania as an attractive investment destination, TIC was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Dr. Saada Mkuya Salum. The gesture underscored the importance of TIC's contributions to Tanzania's economic development and its role in encouraging foreign investment.

The forum was attended by several high-profile leaders, including the Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Hon. Stanislaus Haroon Nyongo, the Minister of Labor, Economy, and Investment, Hon. Sharif Ali Sharif, and Peter Daudi Chisawillo, a Board Member of the TIC.

This Business and Investment Forum represents a crucial step in advancing and strengthening the economic and commercial ties between Tanzania and Oman. By bringing together stakeholders from various sectors, the forum is expected to promote sustainable development and open up more economic opportunities for both nations.

Investors were encouraged to contribute to sectors that can offer mutual benefits, while also building a network of business cooperation that will foster long-term partnerships between Tanzania and Oman.
