20 key steps to complete the Local Government Election process 2024

By Samwel Ndoni, Mbeya

The Mbeya City Council has announced 210 polling stations to be used for voter registration and voting in the upcoming local government elections, scheduled to take place on November 27, 2024, across the country.

According to a statement by the assistant election supervisor, Ally Nnunduma, during a training session for ward-level assistant election supervisors, this number of polling stations may increase based on the needs or circumstances that may arise.

“Mbeya City has two divisions, namely Iyunga and Sisimba. We have a total of 36 wards and 181 streets. The elections will take place in these areas, and participants must be at least 18 years old to vote,” Nnunduma stated.

For those running as candidates, they must be sponsored by a political party and must be at least 21 years old.
