Deputy Minister of
Energy and Special Seats MP for Youth, Hon. Judith Kapinga, has encouraged the
residents of Mbinga District in Ruvuma Region to turn out in large numbers for
the voter registration exercise, emphasizing the importance of electing leaders
who will drive development.
Speaking recently while
opening a training session on the use of results from the 2022 Population and
Housing Census for Mbinga leaders, officials, and stakeholders Ms. Kapinga
highlighted the significance of citizen participation in the registration
process.
"Each of us must
participate in the registration exercise, not just for ourselves, but also to
encourage others in our communities to do the same," Kapinga said.
She stressed that in
order to elect strong leaders who are capable of serving the community
effectively, there needs to be a substantial voter turnout. Therefore, she
urged residents to motivate one another to register in the permanent voter
registry.
Furthermore, she called
on citizens to elect leaders who will serve them with integrity and address
various challenges whenever they arise.
