Shinyanga--The Minister of State in the Office of the President, Management of Public Service and Good Governance, Hon. George Simbachawene, emphasized the significance of strong diplomatic and economic relations that President Samia Suluhu Hassan has fostered with donor countries. This collaboration has played a crucial role in facilitating various development projects across Tanzania.

Speaking during a working visit on October 1, 2024, to assess the implementation of development initiatives and address community challenges in the Mara Region, Hon. Simbachawene highlighted that the successful execution of these significant projects is no mere coincidence but a testament to President Hassan's commitment to driving Tanzania’s development agenda.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her excellent relationships with donor countries, which have enabled us to secure funding for various projects in infrastructure, education, and health sectors," he stated.

The Minister urged public servants and citizens to continue praying for the President’s good health to ensure the ongoing quest for more funding for additional development projects. He praised the efforts of public servants and the community in Mara for their effective implementation of development projects, urging local leaders to encourage citizens to engage in productive activities to enhance their income.

"The Mara Region has made significant strides; let us continue to implement and oversee these projects to achieve the goals set by the Sixth Phase Government for national development," Hon. Simbachawene stressed.

He acknowledged existing challenges, such as staff shortages, assuring that the government is aware of and actively addressing these issues.

During his visit to the Musoma District Council, the Minister laid the foundation stone for a new district hospital and inaugurated 13 classrooms, 17 toilet facilities, and five dormitories at Songe Secondary School, further enhancing the region’s educational infrastructure.
