The
12th edition of the Tanzania Automotive Festivals (Autofest), a national
showcase of transportation vehicles, is set to take place on October 26 and 27
this year. The festival promises to feature a variety of entertainment focused
on cars and motorcycles.
Speaking
at a press conference on October 16, Ally Nchahaga, the Director of the
organizing company and founder of the event, highlighted the significant enhancements
made for this year’s festival compared to previous editions.
"This event is one of the most important
and captivating showcases in the automotive world. Our goal is to present a
wide range of automotive products and services where stakeholders can learn,
enjoy, and appreciate the use of vehicles," Nchahaga stated.
He
further explained that the festival will have a greater appeal due to the
inclusion of vital social services, such as a blood donation drive. "This
year, we have partnered with Damu Salama for blood donations, understanding how
accident victims suffer from blood shortages," he added.
The
festival will also provide educational resources on vehicle usage and vehicle
inspection services, which will be supervised by experts from CMS and AutoMart.
Also, Ipsos, an organization specializing in data provision, is sponsoring this year’s event and has pledged to contribute by tracking data related to the festival. Doreen Bangapi, the Director of Ipsos, expressed their readiness to participate and oversee the statistical analysis of the event's impact.
"As
Ipsos, we are involved in the statistical side of this festival, researching to
monitor media coverage and understand how many Tanzanians have received
information about the event and the total number of participants. Furthermore,
we will assess how the event unfolded to assist in improving future
activities," Bangapi stated.
The
Tanzania Automotive Festivals (Autofest) will take place at the equestrian
grounds in Oysterbay, Dar es Salaam, promising an engaging experience for all
attendees.
