The Pharmatech & Healtheast Africa exhibition showcased international pharmaceutical and healthcare companies from India and Europe in Tanzania, marking a significant milestone for the region’s healthcare sector.

Selman Alimoglu, Chairman of Alyors Holding Company, highlighted the strong business ties between Tanzania and Turkey as a key factor in their participation. "The robust business relations between Tanzania and Turkey have inspired our involvement here. We are committed to advancing healthcare services in the region," Alimoglu stated.

In an interview with The Respondent, Alimoglu expressed his enthusiasm about the growing awareness among Tanzanians regarding healthcare services. This momentum has driven Alyors Holding to explore new investment opportunities in the health sector. "We are excited about the increased awareness and engagement of Tanzanians in healthcare. This has led us to expand our investment opportunities in the sector," he said.

Currently, Alyors Holding serves numerous countries globally. Alimoglu revealed that the company plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in East and Central Africa. “We are considering opening a factory that will cater to East and Central Africa. Our participation in this exhibition enhances our commitment to empowering healthcare providers, improving health outcomes, and advancing the overall development of healthcare services across Africa,” he added.

With over 30 years of experience in the pharmacy and medicine industry, Alyors Holding is aiming to broaden its service scope across Africa.

The company has announced plans to build its first manufacturing plant on the continent by 2027. The facility will focus on producing a range of products, including food supplements, collagen supplements, dermocosmetics, gummies, animal health products, medical devices, and consumables.

To date, Alyors Holding’s extensive portfolio includes more than 750 products and 14 brands, with 150 of them marketed under the slogan “Gift to Health,” establishing a strong presence in the over-the-counter sector.

Mr. Alimoglu, who has led over 20 successful companies globally, is also anticipating the opening of a new factory in Kazakhstan later this year. The upcoming factory in Africa is expected to play a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for healthcare products and services across the continent.

In 2023, Alyors Holding received several awards for its pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products, including accolades for Orzak’s Food Supplements, Ocean’s Extra Mag, and Day-To-Day’s Collagen.

As the Pharmatech & Healtheast Africa exhibition unfolds, it promises to be a significant event, bringing together global leaders and innovators in the healthcare industry to drive progress and enhance healthcare delivery in Africa.
