Antananarivo, Madagascar – Tanzania’s Finance Minister, Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba, has arrived in Antananarivo, Madagascar, leading the Tanzanian delegation on behalf of President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the annual General Shareholders Meeting (GSM) of Africa50 and the Infra for Africa Forum. These key gatherings, scheduled for September 19, 2024, will take place at the Ivato International Conference Center and will be officially opened by the President of Madagascar, H.E. Andry Rajoelina.
Upon arrival at Antananarivo International Airport, Dr. Nchemba was received by Tanzania’s Ambassador to Madagascar, Faustine Kasike, along with senior officials from Africa50, including Youssef Abdourabbih, who oversees administrative matters at the institution.
Dr. Nchemba was accompanied by Deputy Permanent Secretary for Public Finance Management, Amina Khamis Shaaban.
The Africa50 Shareholders Meeting is expected to bring together key stakeholders from across Africa and globally, including investors from both public and private sectors, lenders, and infrastructure experts. The forum will provide a platform to explore solutions for Africa’s infrastructure challenges, address the impacts of climate change, and promote the adoption of clean energy to drive economic growth and development across the continent.
