As part of the Tanzania Investment Centre's (TIC) involvement in the strategic event of the LandRover Festival 2024 and the commemoration of the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, Tanzania's first President and founding father, TIC took part in a tree-planting ceremony at the Magereza grounds in Kisongo, Arusha, on October 14, 2024.

The tree-planting initiative is part of environmental conservation efforts aimed at fostering investment opportunities in various forestry products and emerging prospects in carbon credit trading. This significant event also serves as a tribute to the life of Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, a renowned advocate for environmental preservation and sustainable national development.

TIC’s participation in this activity is part of its efforts to support the environmental initiatives championed by Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, who has been a leading advocate for environmental conservation and investment promotion in the country.

The Tanzania Investment Centre is among the coordinators and sponsors of the LandRover Festival 2024. The center actively participated by hosting a large exhibition booth, where it educated attendees and showcased numerous investment opportunities available in Tanzania.

These include the tourism, agriculture, mining, and industrial sectors, as well as opportunities in commercial property development, such as MICE tourism facilities (meeting, incentive, conference, and exhibition centers), cinemas, hotels, and guest houses. These developments aim to increase accommodation capacity in response to the growing number of tourists spurred by the Tanzania – The Royal Tour program initiated by H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

At the Landover Festival, TIC’s booth, which also served as a hub for B2B and speed networking sessions, attracted over 300 participants. These individuals were eager to learn about investment opportunities, the procedures for registering investment projects, and the tax and non-tax incentives offered by the government through TIC, which are aimed at reducing the cost of investment capital.
