Vodacom Tanzania has officially launched the 2024 Customer Service Week, under the theme ‘Quality Service Every Time,’ with the special ‘Huduma Kitaani’ program kicking off at Mabibo Market in Dar es Salaam. The primary goal of this week is to strengthen the relationship between Vodacom and its customers while emphasizing the importance of providing exceptional service that meets customers' needs.
Speaking at the event, Harriet Lwakatare, Vodacom Tanzania’s Director of Customer Service, said, "This week is our opportunity to thank every customer who has been with us throughout this journey. Through our theme, ‘Quality Service Every Time,’ we are bringing our services directly to our customers, listening to them, and ensuring they receive the right support."
This year, Vodacom Tanzania has taken an innovative approach by bringing services closer to its customers, visiting them at their daily workplaces, addressing their challenges, and gathering feedback on Vodacom's services. The Huduma Kitaani initiative will extend to various regions across Tanzania, and alongside this, Vodacom will provide support to several hospitals, with Vodacom employees also participating in blood donation drives.
Lwakatare added, "For us, customer service is not just about transactions or technical support; it’s also about caring for our customers and ensuring they receive services that help them in their everyday lives. We want our customers to use our network confidently and conduct their businesses with peace of mind, knowing that Vodacom is here for them."
In today’s digital world, owning a smartphone is no longer a luxury but a necessity for customers to benefit from various digital services. As more Tanzanians embrace the digital age, the need for assistance on how to use and maximize these services has grown significantly.
“Our customer service has evolved with the digital transformation, and we have continued to innovate ways for customers to reach us—whether through phone calls, WhatsApp, social media, and more. Additionally, we ensure that our services are inclusive, reaching all Tanzanians, particularly those with special needs, such as individuals with visual, hearing, or mobility challenges. We’ve put systems in place to prioritize their access to services tailored to their requirements.”
This year's Customer Service Week celebrations will also recognize Vodacom’s top service providers across its retail outlets, agents, and customer service centers.
