As the Christmas and New Year 2025 season unfolds, the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) extended its holiday greetings to the former Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Mohamed Gharib Bilal, during his visit to Tarangire National Park.

The TANAPA delegation, led by Southern Regional Conservation Commander Steria Ndaga, represented the TANAPA Conservation Commissioner.

Accompanying her were Senior Assistant Conservation Commissioner and Head of Tarangire National Park Betrice Kessy, along with several members of the park's management team.

Dr. Bilal commended the Sixth Phase Government and TANAPA for their significant efforts in improving infrastructure across the country’s national parks, including Tarangire.

“The government, through TANAPA, is doing remarkable work.

I have witnessed major improvements here in Tarangire—the infrastructure is reliable, the wildlife is abundant, and the environment is pristine.

I am very impressed with your services here and promise to return,” said Dr. Bilal.

He also praised Tanzanian youth for their expertise and knowledge in tourism and conservation, much of which has been acquired through local institutions.

He noted that this knowledge is being effectively utilized to serve visitors exploring the country’s diverse attractions.
