Dar es Salaam. Treasury Registrar Nehemiah Mchechu has called on staff at the Office of the Treasury Registrar (OTR) to embrace the lessons of Ramadan—hard work, wisdom, and compassion—as guiding principles in their daily responsibilities for the nation's benefit.
Speaking on Monday, March 24, 2025, during an iftar gathering at KingJada Hotel in Morocco Square, Mr. Mchechu emphasized that the values cultivated during Ramadan should extend beyond the holy month.
"This month teaches us patience, dedication, and compassion for others—values that are equally essential in our work environment," he said. "I hope each of us will continue to live these lessons even after Ramadan ends."
Expressing appreciation for the staff’s dedication, Mr. Mchechu highlighted the significance of unity within the OTR, noting that such gatherings not only mark the breaking of the fast but also reinforce teamwork and a shared sense of purpose.
"It is a great joy to be with you during this sacred month—a time of mercy, forgiveness, and countless blessings," he remarked.
He urged the staff to extend prayers for their colleagues, communities, and the nation, hoping for continued peace, good health, and prosperity for Tanzania.
