Simba determined to reach CAFCC Semi-Finals

By Flora Mkoloma

As Simba gears up to face Al Masry in the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup on April 9 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, the club's Manager of Communications, Ahmed Ally, has emphasized the importance of rallying fans to show their unwavering support.

Ally stressed that the upcoming match is crucial for Simba, offering a historic opportunity to reach the finals.

"This match is significant; it’s not just about winning, it’s about making history. Our path to the final depends on the energy and support from our fans. We need the stadium packed, and we are determined to cross the semi-final hurdle this year," he said.

Ally also pointed out that while some may be hoping for Simba’s downfall, the team remains focused and determined to succeed.

"Some people are waiting for Simba to fail so they can mock us, but we will use every resource we have to ensure we progress. Simba’s strength lies in our resilience; we never give up. Yes, we lost the first leg, but that only fuels our determination. We’ve overcome giants like Al Ahly, Wydad, and Berkane. There’s no way we’ll lose to an Arab team ranked lower than us; they are on our level," he added.

In addition, Ally revealed that Simba's leadership is committed to achieving success and has invited prominent figures to be part of the journey.

"We are reaching out to those with a significant impact in our community, including spiritual leaders. We’ve also invited the special guest, Prophet Boniface Mwamposa (Buldoza), to join us. Discussions are underway to provide tickets for his followers as well," Ally concluded.
