The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has revealed the official venues for the semi-final stage of the 2024/2025 CRDB Federation Cup, confirming that the highly anticipated matches will take place from May 16 to 18.
In a statement issued by the federation, TFF announced that the semi-finals will be hosted at two key locations: Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga and Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium in Babati, Manyara Region.
These venues will provide football fans across Tanzania with the opportunity to witness thrilling encounters as the competition nears its climax.
The first semi-final will see defending champions Young Africans SC (Yanga) square off against JKT Tanzania at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.
Yanga, who have been in formidable form this season, will be looking to maintain their momentum and secure a spot in the final.
However, JKT Tanzania, with their disciplined play and strong determination, will undoubtedly be seeking to upset the odds and make a surprise appearance in the final.
In the second semi-final, Simba SC, one of the most successful clubs in Tanzanian football history, will face Singida Black Stars at Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium in Babati.
Simba, who are determined to reclaim the title, will face a tough challenge from Singida Black Stars, a side that has exceeded expectations this season and is eager to make its mark on the national stage.
The CRDB Federation Cup has increasingly become a platform for showcasing football talent beyond the traditional powerhouses, offering teams from all regions the opportunity to compete at the highest level.
This makes the tournament all the more significant as it offers clubs the chance to qualify for continental competitions under the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
TFF’s decision to stage the semi-finals at these venues is also part of its ongoing efforts to promote football across the country and engage fans from various regions.
“We want to ensure that all fans, regardless of location, have the opportunity to experience top-tier football,” the statement noted.
As the semi-finals draw closer, football enthusiasts across the nation are eagerly awaiting the matchups, which will ultimately determine the two teams that will battle it out for the prestigious CRDB Federation Cup title this season.
Further details regarding the exact match dates and kick-off times will be shared by TFF in the coming weeks.
