Simba SC has officially arrived in Zanzibar to kick off their training camp ahead of the highly anticipated first-leg semi-final of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The match is set to take place on April 20, 2025, at the Amaan Complex Stadium in Zanzibar, where they will face South Africa's Stellenbosch.
The team, led by manager Patrick Rweyemamu, traveled with a total of 50 members, including 27 players and several key support staff.
Rweyemamu expressed confidence in the squad, highlighting that the players are in high spirits and fully focused on achieving a strong performance in the upcoming match.
“We are grateful to have arrived safely, and we’ll be based here for four days. During this time, we will be intensifying our training to ensure we’re fully prepared for the game,” said Rweyemamu.
The team manager also reassured fans that both the players and the technical bench are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities.
He added, “Every player knows what is expected of them, and we are all united in our mission to do our best and secure a positive result in this crucial match.”
With morale high and a clear game plan in place, Simba SC is focused on giving their best performance in the semi-final as they aim to move one step closer to winning the prestigious CAF Confederation Cup title.
