Simba coach Fadlu Davids says their international friendly match against APR will be a good test for them.
The two teams meet at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam tomorrow to climax Simba Day.
It will be the first off season match for Simba to play in front of their fans after returning home from their pre-season camp held in Ismailia, Egypt.
At a press briefing on Friday in the city, Davids says he is aware that many Simba fans will descend at the venue hence winning will be a befitting reward for them.
"The squad is in good shape and the game will be a perfect test for us...we are aware that a lot of our fans will come to give us support hence a reason to win," he says.
In a related development, the Reds have introduced Guinean goalkeeper Moussa Camara who has sealed a two-year deal to work with the team.
On his part, APR coach Ettiene Hitiman insisted that facing Simba will simply make his side much better ahead of the busy 2024/25 season.
"It is going to be a tough match but we are interested in this fixture because it will give us a platform to prepare well for our upcoming CAF Champions League (CAF CL) games," he says.
