Yanga suffocate Vital'O in CAF Champions League

Our Special Correspondent

Young Africans have battered Vital'O 4-0 in the first leg clash of the CAF Champions League at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.

The outstanding victory puts them on a right path to progress to the second preliminary round of the contest as the duo meet again at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam for  the reverse leg clash on Saturday.

Venom striker Prince Dube opened the score sheet just in the 5th minute before Clatous Chama doubling the lead in the 68th minute.

Substitute Clement Mzize and a late spot kick by Stephanie Aziz Ki sealed the deal for the visitors.

Yanga have since bagged 20m/- from President Samia Suluhu Hassan whose presidential package sees her purchasing each goal that a Tanzanian team scores and win for 5m/- in the preliminary round of CAF Interclub Competitions.

However, after the match, cameras at the stadium spotted the outspoken Vital'O Information Officer Arsene Bucuti who prior to the game was buoyant that his side would capsize Yanga.

Through various press briefing he had, he confidently insisted that there was no way they can suffer defeat in today's match and he went further saying if they lose, he will resign his duties as Vital'O Information Officer.
