Deputy
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Police
Commissioner Benedict Wakulyamba, has officiated the graduation of 236 officers
and wildlife conservation rangers at Fort Ikoma, Serengeti.
The graduates
included 159 conservation officers and 77 wildlife conservation rangers.
Commissioner
Wakulyamba congratulated the graduates and urged them to be exemplary leaders.

He
emphasized the importance of using the skills gained during training to solve
challenges, maintain discipline, and uphold integrity in their work.
"Let the knowledge you have gained help you address challenges while respecting laws and human rights,” he said.
Wakulyamba
expressed gratitude to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for allowing the promotion
of officers and soldiers in the Conservation Force.
He also
expressed gratitude to the Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism for
appointing him to represent the ministry at the ceremony.
Deputy
Conservation Commissioner Massana Mwishawa also commended the graduates and
highlighted the importance of discipline and accountability.
“The
training has equipped you with skills in interpreting conservation laws and
managing conservation and tourism strategies. I am confident you are leaving
here better prepared,” said Mwishawa.
The
leadership training aimed to build the graduates' capacity to maintain
discipline and uphold military traditions through theoretical and practical
learning.
