The Deputy Minister for Energy and Member of Parliament for the Youth Constituency in Ruvuma Region (CCM)Ms. Judith Kapinga has announced plans to donate 139 computers to primary schools in Mbinga District, with the goal of enhancing the pace of educational development in the area.
Kapinga made the commitment on November 28, 2024, during a foundation stone-laying ceremony for a new teacher’s house at Mbungani Primary School, located in Mbinga Rural District.
The computers, she stated, will be distributed to 139 primary schools across the district by January 2025.
"I am committed to providing 139 computers by January 2025, to be distributed across the 139 primary schools in Mbinga District. This initiative is aimed at accelerating the growth of education and fostering digital learning in the region," Kapinga explained.
In addition to her pledge for the computers, Kapinga contributed funds to support the construction of the teacher's house at Mbungani Primary School. The house will provide better accommodation for teachers, a crucial step in improving their working and living conditions.
During her visit to Kindimbajuu Village, Kapinga also addressed local elders, highlighting the government’s ongoing commitment to development.
She reaffirmed that the government is actively working on various infrastructure projects, including the expansion of electricity access to remote villages. She emphasized that these efforts aim to ensure that all Tanzanians, regardless of their location, have access to essential services.
Kapinga's visit underscores the government's determination to invest in the education sector and infrastructure development, fostering long-term improvements in the quality of life for the people of Mbinga District and beyond.
