YAS Telecommunications, in partnership with Mixx by YAS, has awarded prizes to the winners of the third week of their “Magift ya Kugift” campaign, which aims to engage customers in a series of rewarding activities.
On November 29, 2024, the company presented various prizes, with six lucky winners each receiving TSh 1 million, and one winner taking home a grand prize of TSh 5 million.
Speaking at the prize-giving event, Angelika Pesha, Chief Officer of Mixx by YAS, expressed her excitement about continuing the campaign.
She highlighted that the initiative is part of YAS’s efforts to offer attractive prizes—including cash rewards, airtime, and other valuable gifts—during this festive season.
Pesha also emphasized that these rewards are part of their ongoing commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and engagement.
Pesha noted that so far, the campaign has distributed a total of TSh 35 million in cash prizes to winners from various categories, including individual customers, agents, and other participants in the YAS ecosystem.
One of the big winners, Asia Martin Mlay, who won TSh 5 million, thanked YAS for organizing the “Magift ya Kugift 2024” campaign and for giving him the opportunity to emerge as a winner.
Mlay urged Tanzanians to actively participate in YAS’s campaigns, stating that the process is transparent and fair, with no tricks involved—everyone has an equal chance to win based on their luck.
Other winners, who received TSh 1 million each, also expressed their gratitude. Many shared plans to invest the prize money in their businesses, pay school fees, or cover essential personal expenses.
YAS has been running these campaigns as part of its marketing strategy to build brand awareness and strengthen its presence in the Tanzanian telecom market.
Since its recent rebranding, YAS has replaced Tigi, a telecom brand that had been operational for 30 years in the country.
Despite its recent launch, YAS has quickly established itself as a key player in the Tanzanian market and has already received several awards both locally and internationally for its innovation and customer service.
Haji Sunday Manara, the YAS Ambassador for Tanzania, encouraged customers to continue making transactions and engaging with YAS services through their mobile phones to increase their chances of winning.
Manara assured the public that the "Magift ya Kugift" campaign is entirely legitimate, with no hidden agendas, and that every participant has a fair opportunity to win.
The ongoing campaign is part of a 12-week initiative, and YAS has promised to continue rewarding more winners with exciting prizes throughout the 2024 festive season.
As the company expands its telecom services, such campaigns are expected to further enhance customer loyalty and engagement, reinforcing YAS’s position as a leading telecom provider in Tanzania.
