Makalla to address CCM members and public in Mbeya on March 27

By Samwel Ndoni, Mbeya

Amos Makalla, the National Secretary for Ideology, Propaganda, and Training of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), is scheduled to visit Mbeya city on Thursday, March 27, 2025, to address party members and the general public at the Ruanda Nzovwe grounds in Mbeya.

This visit comes just days after the Chama Cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Chadema) launched its "No Reform, No Election" campaign.

In a statement to the press, the CCM Publicity Secretary for Mbeya region, Christopher Uhagile, confirmed that Makalla will speak to both party members and the public on March 27, 2025, at the Ruanda Nzovwe grounds.

He added that Makalla would be accompanied by Pastor Peter Msigwa and other national leaders, urging citizens to attend in large numbers to hear about the significant achievements of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan’s administration.

"Everyone knows why CCM has made this move, and unfortunately, there have been misleading statements. As a ruling party, we cannot remain silent. We invite all citizens to come and hear the correct responses from the party of revolution concerning its government," said Uhagile.

During the meeting, CCM intends to address and clarify some of the misleading issues (which were not specified) raised by Chadema during the launch of their "No Reform, No Election" campaign.

Earlier this week, Chadema, led by its Chairman Tundu Lissu and Vice Chairman John Heche, launched the "No Reform, No Election" campaign at the Ruanda Nzovwe grounds in Mbeya.

The campaign’s goal is to educate the public on the importance of pressuring the government to implement electoral reforms, warning that elections should not proceed without such changes.
