President Samia Suluhu Hassan has announced key leadership appointments, including diplomatic postings, in a strategic move to enhance governance and international representation.
The appointments, made public by Chief Secretary Dr. Moses Kusiluka, were outlined in an official statement signed by the Director of Presidential Communications, Sharifa B. Nyanga.
"The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has appointed various leaders and assigned ambassadors to their respective posts," the statement read.
Rachel Stephen Kasanda has been appointed as the District Commissioner of Masasi, replacing Lauteri John Kanoni, whose appointment was revoked.
The government underscored this decision, stating, "Rachel Stephen Kasanda has been appointed as the District Commissioner of Masasi. She replaces Lauteri John Kanoni, whose appointment has been annulled."
In the conservation sector, Professor Jafari Ramadhani Kideghesho has been named Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Tanzania’s Wildlife Conservation Fund.
His expertise is expected to advance conservation efforts and sustainable wildlife management.
"Professor Jafari Ramadhani Kideghesho has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Tanzania’s Wildlife Conservation Fund," the statement confirmed.
Meanwhile, CPA. Ashraph Yusuph Abdulkarim has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Masoko Kariakoo, a crucial institution in Tanzania’s trade sector. The government highlighted his appointment, stating, "CPA. Ashraph Yusuph Abdulkarim has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Masoko Kariakoo."
His leadership is expected to strengthen financial and operational efficiency within the market authority.
On the diplomatic front, Ambassador Hamad Khamis Hamad has been assigned as Tanzania’s envoy to Mozambique, while Ambassador Mobhare Holmes Matinyi will serve in Sweden.
The official statement confirmed these appointments: "Ambassador Hamad Khamis Hamad has been assigned as Tanzania’s Ambassador to Mozambique, and Ambassador Mobhare Holmes Matinyi has been posted to Sweden."
