An international judo coach from France, Nicolas Jean Malet, is expected to arrive in the country tomorrow to conduct training sessions in judo from April 7 to 12 this year at the Police Dojo in Kurasini, Dar es Salaam.

Speaking to The Respondent Online, the Secretary-General of the Judo Association of Tanzania (JATA), Innocent Mallya, said that the training is aimed at local players (the National Judo Team) and will also include a demonstration at schools that are set to introduce the sport.

He mentioned that 60 participants are expected to benefit from the judo training program, including 50 players and 10 coaches.

"Currently, we are continuing with preparations, and tomorrow we will welcome him to kick off our program with the aim of enhancing the skills of our players and coaches in various aspects," Mallya said.

The Secretary-General also noted that the training would focus on teaching the new judo rules that were modified and will be implemented this year.
