Hussein advances in heyball masters, wins \$822

Tanzania’s Abdallah Hussein has made a strong impression at the ongoing Heyball Masters Grand World Pool Championship, securing a place in the second round and earning $882 in prize money.

The global competition is taking place in Chengdu, China, and began on April 24. It features top players from around the world competing for a grand prize of $700,000. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on May 17, with the final match determining this year’s champion.

Hussein, who is representing Tanzania, has shown great skill and determination on the international stage.

 His advancement marks a significant achievement not only for him personally but also for the development of cue sports in Tanzania.

Speaking to The Respondent Online, Abdallah Omar Abdallah, Secretary General of the Tanzania Pool Association, expressed pride in Hussein’s performance and optimism for his continued success in the tournament.

“We are thankful that one of our players has progressed to the second round. This is a major achievement. We believe he is preparing thoroughly and is committed to maintaining strong results throughout the competition,” said Abdallah.

Hussein’s early success in the tournament has already earned him a reward of $882, with the potential for much more as he advances further.

 His performance reflects growing competitiveness and professionalism among Tanzanian players in international tournaments.
