The NBC Premier League Tanzania Mainland continues tomorrow with a key encounter between Simba SC and Pamba Jiji, scheduled to kick off at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.
Simba SC, one of the league’s most successful clubs, will be looking to maintain their momentum as the season heads into its final stretch.
Speaking ahead of the match, Simba’s Assistant Coach Seleman Matola expressed the team's readiness and determination to collect maximum points.
“Our target is clear we want all three points from this game,” said Matola. “Pamba is not in a comfortable position, which makes them a dangerous side. But our players are motivated and prepared for the challenge.”
Matola also highlighted Simba's experience in handling pressure situations, saying, “Simba is a big club.
We are used to playing in different environments and under various pressures. That’s part of our identity.”
On the other side, Pamba Jiji are fighting to avoid relegation, currently sitting in a precarious position on the league table.
Head Coach Fredy Minziro acknowledged the uphill task but remained confident in his team's ability to fight.
“We know we’re not in a good position, but the season isn’t over,” Minziro said. “We have four matches left and we’re going to fight for every point to save ourselves from relegation.”
Minziro stressed the urgency of the situation, stating, “This match is crucial for us. Everyone at the club understands what’s at stake.”
Pamba’s Assistant Coach Ally Salim echoed similar sentiments. “We expect a tough game against Simba, but we’ve prepared well. Our goal is to take all three points,” he said. “We believe we can surprise them.”
