Singida Regional Commissioner Halima Dendego has pledged overwhelming support for President Samia Suluhu Hassan in the upcoming 2025 General Election, citing the region's appreciation for her transformative leadership and development record.
Addressing thousands who gathered at Liti Grounds in Singida Municipality for the national Workers’ Day celebrations on May 1, 2025 an event graced by President Samia herself Dendego said the massive turnout was a clear reflection of the people's gratitude for the remarkable progress achieved under the Sixth Phase Government over the past four years.
“In Singida, no one is demanding anything from President Samia,” Dendego said. “Instead, people are determined to repay her with a landslide victory in the coming elections so she may continue leading our country for another five years.”
She thanked President Samia for prioritizing development across various sectors, which she said had significantly improved the lives of citizens in the region.
From infrastructure and health to education and water supply, Dendego noted that the government’s investments had made tangible impacts that residents deeply value.
Dendego also extended her appreciation to Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa for his leadership and guidance, which contributed to the success of this year’s celebrations.
She further acknowledged the Trade Union Federation of Tanzania and its President, Tumaini Nyamhokya, for their role in organizing the event.
This year’s Workers’ Day was held under the theme: “General Election 2025: Let it Bring Leaders Who Uphold Workers’ Rights and Welfare — Let Us All Participate.”
